Capgemini is shopping for a ticket to the Penn District.

The Paris-based consulting and IT providers agency signed a 43,000-square-foot lease at Vornado Realty Belief’s Penn 2, The Actual Deal has discovered. Capgemini inked a 10-year deal for a part of the twenty second flooring of the newly redeveloped workplace tower above Penn Station. The asking hire was $120 per sq. foot.

The corporate will relocate its New York Metropolis places of work from 79 Fifth Avenue within the Flatiron District, the place the corporate leased the identical quantity of area in 2017. JLL’s Chad Baker, Invoice Peters and Scott Cahaly represented Capgemini within the deal. Vornado was represented in-house by Josh Glick, Jared Silverman and Anthony Cugini, together with a Cushman & Wakefield group led by Bruce Mosler and Josh Kuriloff.

Capgemini joins a rising roster of tenants on the 31-story, 1.8 million-square-foot tower at 2 Penn Plaza. The constructing lately underwent a $750 million renovation geared toward attracting blue-chip tenants. The redevelopment is a part of Vornado’s huge guess on the Penn District, the place the corporate has sunk $1.2 billion into revamping Penn 1 and Penn 2, together with bold plans to makeover the neighborhood’s retail.

The guess appears to be paying off. In November, Dick’s Sporting Items inked a 125,000-square-foot lease and Fintech company Robinhood inked a 125,000-square-foot sublease at Penn 2, Fintech firm Current signed a lease for somewhat over 62,000 sq. ft and communications and consulting firm FGS Glocal signed an 80,000-square-foot lease.

Verizon inked a 200,000-square-foot lease final summer time with plans to maneuver its headquarters to the constructing. Different tenants on the tower embrace Madison Sq. Backyard’s company places of work, Major League Soccer and Universal Music Group.

Vornado declined to touch upon the deal and Capgemini didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
